Maymont X-Country Festival
Middle School 3k
The Middle School 3k gives runners in grades 6-8 a chance to be part of this one-of-a-kind cross country festival through the grounds of beautiful Maymont Park.

Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be deferred to another year.

DETAILS:
- Please arrive at the start line at least 10 minutes before the start of your race.
- B-chips (or chips already attached to the number bib) will be assigned to every runner for timing purposes.
- Maymont does not allow pets on the property, so please leave your four-legged friends at home!
PACKET PICK-UP:
T-shirt and packet pick-up will be available at Maymont near the Hampton Street entrance on Friday, September 28 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, September 29 beginning at 6 a.m. A photo ID is not required to pick up a race packet for a minor.
RESULTS:
Results will be posted at www.sportsbackers.org after the conclusion of the day’s events.
AWARDS:
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers, male and female.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The 3k course, just like the 5k course, starts near Maymont House and doubles back on itself several times allowing spectators easy visibility to multiple points along the course. Before passing the Maymont House and crossing the finish line, runners will pass by the Children's Farm at Maymont. It’s basically the 5k course without the section in Byrd Park.
Print out an entry form and mail it in with payment by September 26
Walk up registration Friday, September 28 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Maymont. There is no walk up registration on Saturday, September 29.
