The Stride Through Time is excited to announce an all new course and the addition of a short course option for 2012! Come out and see Richmond like you have never seen it before. We will wind our way in and around some of the city’s greatest treasures including historic sites and landmarks, restaurants, and boutiques. And don’t be surprised when you turn a corner and see Patrick Henry, Elvis (he performed at the Landmark in 1958, you know) or other characters from Richmond’s past.

Entries are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be deferred to another year.

Wave starts help alleviate congestion along the course. Please select a starting wave when registering (250 person limit per wave):
Wave Start Time A 8:30 a.m. B 8:32 a.m. C 8:34 a.m. D 8:36 a.m. E 8:38 a.m. F 8:40 a.m. G 8:42 a.m. H 8:44 a.m. J 8:46 a.m. K 8:48 a.m. L 8:50 a.m. - Streets are open to vehicles, so obey all traffic laws and signals.
- Strollers, joggers and carriers are permitted, but you are required to sign a waiver and attached a tag to it before heading out onto the course.
- There is a 4-hour course limit. The course closes at 12:50 p.m.
Packet Pick-Up
Packet Pick-up will take place at the Virginia Historical Society beginning at 7 a.m. on event morning. A Photo ID required for packet pick-up. You may pick up a packet for another pre-registered walker, provided you have a copy of their photo ID.
Parking
Paid parking ($5) is available at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts parking deck next door to the Virginia Historical Society as well as some on-street parking.
Finish Line Festival
The Thompson McMullan Finish Line Festival takes place at the Virginia Historical Society with a finish arch and vendors. Upon finishing the walk you’ll receive your commemorative event shirt. Celebrate your accomplishment with live music and post-event food and drinks.
